This term we are going to be learning about the new Healthy Food Pyramid and how to make healthy food choices in our diets and how many serves from each food group we should aim to be eating every day.
Gardeners harvested some lovely red cabbage for the cooks to use along with lots of aromatic herbs for them to use in this fortnights recipe; Mini chicken burgers with red cabbage coleslaw. Our super colourful burgers were quickly devoured with many wanting more!
We planted lots of new seedlings into our garden beds to ensure an ongoing supply of fresh vegetables. Cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, lettuce, shallots and bok choy have all been squeezed into our already crowded garden but I’m sure they will flourish amongst their friends!
