At Glasshouse Christian College we do Open Day somewhat differently from most other schools. Open Day is a time when new families who are interested in finding out more about our College can come and have a Glasshouse Christian College experience. Currently we already have many new students (mainly Prep) enrolled for next year, but other families are curious to compare our school with their experiences elsewhere. In primary we have very few places available so Prep is our entry point.

However, there is a second aspect of Open Day here at Glasshouse Christian College. We want this event to be a time when we showcase student learning for our existing families and give parents an opportunity to see their children’s work on display. Every child in Primary will have a piece of work up in the classroom so please come along even for an hour or so to encourage them in what they have been doing this year.

This is an invitation for you to see what’s happening right through the school and what is on offer for your children not only now but in the future.

However, this year we decided to add an extra dimension to class displays by having individual class competitions which will attract prizes as well as rosettes, ribbons and certificates for first place (champion) and highly commended. A number of these entries for the competitions will also be displayed. I’m sure students will be anxious to come and find out who the winners are on the actual day.

There will also be a showcase of primary and secondary performances throughout the day in addition to food vendors and fun activities, so it will be an enjoyable outing for the family.
