We hope you will take the time to say hello and welcome the new staff at Glasshouse Christian College. We are very privileged to have such excellent people at our College and our students are the ones who will benefit the most. You can read about three of our new staff below and we will have the other three new staff introductions to you in next week’s Eagle.
Bobbie Briggs – Head of Humanities
Hi, My name is Bobbie Briggs and I am joining the Glasshouse Christian College teaching team as the HOD of Humanities (History and Geography).
My husband and I are Sunny Coast locals, but have recently returned to the Coast from a year in North-West Tassie (absolutely beautiful place!) and I am returning to teaching after having our two beautiful daughters (Aiesha 3 and Sophia 9 months).
I am passionate about my subject areas and developing engaging curriculum that helps students to develop their global awareness, empathy for others and vision for how we can work together for a brighter future.
I’m excited to be joining the Glasshouse Christian College team and look forward to all 2018 has in store!
Heidi Fraser – Year 1M Teacher
Hi, my name is Heidi Fraser and I am a new Year 1 Teacher. I am very excited to start my teaching journey at Glasshouse Christian College and look forward to working alongside each and every one of my students as well as the GCC staff.
I will strive to help my students learn, achieve success and reach their God given potential. I love the Lord and I love to learn, teach, be outdoors, play sport and be creative. I have a beautiful family, and now a wonderful husband as I just got married in December. I look forward to the excitement and joy which 2018 will bring!
Rhiannan Vreeling – Year 5M Teacher
Hi, my name is Rhiannan Vreeling and I am teaching in Year 5 this year. I have a Bachelor of Education in Middle Years, focusing on Mathematics and Science. Throughout the years I have worked in a range of childcare and education settings, but especially enjoy teaching Upper Primary. I have a passion for children to reach their full potential and for them to learn to love learning and growing in knowledge. I have lots of hobbies, but my favourite things to do in my spare time are to bake, read, sew or go for a run.
I look forward to the year ahead and am excited about what God is going to do at Glasshouse Christian College in the coming year.
