I would like to thank the Glasshouse Christian College community for the wonderful, warm welcome I have received since arriving here in the middle of February. It has been a whirlwind of blessings and changes for our family but we are very excited to be a part of all the exciting things happening here at the college.
I have been privileged to have lived quite an exciting life so far. I grew up in the beautiful subtropical mountains of South Africa as a young farm boy never dreaming that I would get to see and experience so many things. I studied Psychology, Languages and Education at the University of Pretoria where I met my amazing wife, Marlize.
After teaching in South Africa for a few years we decided to travel and ended up teaching in Taiwan and the United Kingdom where we saw and experienced the wonders of Asia and Europe. Our daughter Lizé was born in England and we decided to find the best place in the world to raise a child. That is Australia of course!
I was really blessed to have spent my first six and a half years in Australia working for Calvary Christian College where I taught Christian Studies, Life Skills, English, History and Geography. My son Philip was born here and is currently in Prep.
All these teaching opportunities have given me the privilege of teaching children from the age of four in kindergarten togGrade twelves right at the end of their secondary schooling.
I believe that God has placed all of us here, at this time, for something very special. I am looking forward to getting to know you and working with you to empower the exceptional young men and women in our care.
