Tip Two

Life is so, so busy! We spend so much of our lives rushing from one place to another. Our children grow up in the busyness of it all.

Take time for yourself and your family. Make it a priority! We don’t want to look back in 20 years not knowing who our children have become or who our spouse is. So STOP! Plan times to stop. We don’t live to work – we should work to live. Enjoy life, enjoy time with your children while you can, and especially time with each other. You don’t want to wake up one day and find your children have grown up and you missed it.

Make mealtimes a family time to sit at the table and eat – not in front of the TV – and that means everyone. No devices or phones at the table.

Talk about your day with each other, including parents. Children need to see and hear what you go through each day (within reason, depending on the age of the children of course). This may start off awkward if it is not something you have done, but will certainly get easier, the more you do it.

Until next time……
