The GCCC Eagles Netball team has been blessed by the generous sponsorship given by David Atherton and his business Monroe Shock Absorbers. David has provided the girls with a customised team polo shirt, backpack, cap and two drink bottles to use at the Mission Foods Primary Schools Cup competition.
The girls have been training for three months for this carnival and are keen to play well and score lots of goals. The team has been very ably coached by Claudine Daunt and Kerrie Fissenden and Lisa Grigor has kept the paperwork straight! The carnival attracts teams from all over Queensland and last year there were sixty teams entered. The teams play a round robin competition and then the top two teams in each pool progress to the final playoffs.
We wish the girls all the best as they compete in this carnival and know they will represent GCCC with pride and great sportsmanship.
The team is Olivia Atherton, Rebekah Atkins, Brooke Hughes, Elle Mitchell, Jaylah Daunt, Tara Fissenden, Eloise Grigor, Tess Hagan, Sohpie Trevan and Amber Weatherburn.
