G’day from Your New Primary School Pastor!

My name is Caleb Reid, and I have just stepped into the role of Primary School Pastor here at Glasshouse Christian College. I am so glad to be here, and please come say g’day if you see me around!

I come to you from the Central Coast of NSW, which means I arrive as an unapologetic NSW Blues and Manly Sea Eagles fan. I understand if that requires some grace on your part. The good news is that my whole family has made the move to the Sunshine Coast — my wider family had already beaten us here, and my wife, our two kids, and I only just arrived a month ago. We are settling in, loving the Coast, and feeling very much at home.

Before joining GCC, I worked at Impact Church in Canberra, with Red Frogs Australia, and had the privilege of working on student leadership conferences. That last experience in particular gave me a real appreciation for just how much this age group is capable of when they are genuinely encouraged and invested in.

I started following Jesus during my own primary school years, and I honestly cannot overstate how much that has shaped my life since. Because of that, I am deeply passionate about seeing young people discover the “Jesus Way” early — not as rules to follow, but as a transformative ongoing journey. Getting to walk alongside your kids in that is, for me, an extraordinary privilege.

Outside of school life, you will often find me running, riding, or swimming — usually over distances my wife would describe as excessive. I also love listening to and playing music, and am always open to recommendations.

I am truly honoured to partner with the staff and parents of this community in seeing your children grow in faith and knowledge. I believe that kind of growth happens best together, and I could not be more grateful to be part of what God is doing here at GCC.

Looking forward to meeting you all!

Caleb Reid, Primary College Pastor
