GCC Soccer Girls get ready for a Grand Final appearance:
GCC, SCISSA soccer teams played their last round of games in week 7. After a dominant start to the term, several of our teams dropped a few games causing them to miss out on a Grand Final appearance. Congratulations to our intermediate girls’ team. They have gone through the season only losing 1 game against St Andrews Anglican College. Next Wednesday the GCC girls are scheduled to play St Andrews again in the Grand Final. The big game will take place at Meridan playing fields at 4:45pm. We wish them all the best.

Friday Sport
During weeks 6 and 7, GCC competed against Suncoast Christian College across the sports of Basketball, Frisbee, Volleyball, Futsal, Soccer and Touch Football. Students played in year level teams. Across the board, games were fairly even with neither school dominating and most games ending with close finishes.
Secondary Girls Netball trials
Netball trials were held in Week 7 for the 2018 Monday night competition that will run through Semester 1. From this selection process, GCC will be entering a Junior, Intermediate and Senior team. Email Mr Beattie if you were unable to attend this trial but would still like to play.
SCISSA Volleyball nominations
A nomination form was emailed to all students in Week 6. From those nominated, we will be entering no less than 12 teams in Term 1 2018. Selection trials for these teams will take place in Week 1, Term 1, 2018. Email Mr Beattie if you would like to play but have not yet nominated.
Touch Football Monday night competition
Mr Bullock is looking for expressions of interest in entering GCC teams into a regular after-school competition in Term 1. Email Mr Bullock if you would like to play and have not yet expressed your interest. Opportunities exist for Year 7/8 and Year 9/10 teams.
