Our Primary French Expo on the last day of Term 2 was a whole lot of fun. Merci beaucoup!
A very big thank you to everyone who participated on the day, and to the many parents and secondary student volunteers who gave up hours of their valuable time to make this day fun for our students.
Our Event Coordinator, Penny White, did an amazing job of selecting, organising and coordinating the rich variety of events and activities which were then thoroughly explored and enjoyed by our students.
Coming back to class after the three-week holiday break I am still hearing so many positive comments from students, who loved: the French café et les croissants au chocolat, dressing up like Marie Antoinette, dancing the Can Can, playing pin the tail on the French poodle, experiencing the art of mime by Marcel Marceau, playing pétanque, re-enacting the exhilaration of winning le Tour de France, chandelier making, even Mr Bean’s Holiday in Paris and the list goes on. All the photos are below.
Our French classes did an awesome job of showcasing traditional French songs, presentations, plays and dances in front of a large assembly of students and parents on the day. Here is the link to the videos on our YouTube channel: French Expo Play List.
Overall, it was a wonderful and enjoyable experience for our students and one which some hope to relive very soon – one student on the day excitedly announced; “I love French, I love French day! Are we going to have French day every day?”
