How fun is it to do a makeover? To create a new space for something exciting knowing that God is going to use it powerfully to impact lives? To think, create, design and give life to a room that would be boring and lifeless if it was empty, is such a fun project.
We have been designing and creating for the last few weeks our new Pastors rooms. We have been so blessed by the College and are so grateful to be given more capacity in this school to enable us to reach students more effectively with God’s love. This area has already been used for many groups, prayer, music and counselling sessions. Everyone who comes into it loves this place and feels a sense of comfort and wonder towards each other as we learn together about God and His Word.
When I think about this and how I feel, I think God has fun when He gets to recreate us into Jesus likeness. The day I asked Jesus to take control of every single part of me as a 15-year-old teenager. I can honestly say it was seriously like a total makeover or house renovation. I changed from the inside out and He gave me everything I needed to understand the Bible and become more like Jesus. That happened 44 years ago and I have never looked back. God daily wants to guide us, help us, lead us and direct us into all His blessings for us if we just hand it over to Him.
2 Cor 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! Please drop into our new rooms over the Open Day weekend and chat with me more about my incredible new life. I’d love to share with you about it and show you how you can experience this for yourself.
Also, we are having a Room naming competition at the moment. We hope that by the end of this weekend (“Open Day”) that we will choose a new name for our new room that will be inviting to all.
If you get the chance on Saturday, can we invite you to pop in and add your ideas for our group. There will be a prize for the best entrance with the name we choose. Please drop in and have a look and get to know us better as we would love to meet you.
Have a sensational DAY.
