Term 3 is almost complete and what a wonderful term we have had celebrating reading, borrowing lots of fantastic stories and learning new things each week. Primary and Secondary students have been reminded to return library books and any textbooks no longer required for their classes. Primary and Secondary overdue letters have recently been sent. Thank you to all students who have been responding to overdue notices via email or class notices. Prompt returns of books by the end of the term is greatly appreciated and assists the Library team as they organise things in readiness for Term 4.
Holiday Reading Options
Students are welcome to borrow from our print collection for over the holidays. There’s a great selection of stories from a range of genres together with interesting information books available for loan. Primary students in Year 3-6 can access the Literacy Pro eBook Library over the holidays via the GCCHub Weebly. An instructional video for this is located here (see you child for the Weebly password). Secondary students can access the eBook and audiobook selection from our Wheelers eplatform using their school username and password. Audiobooks are enjoying increased popularity for young people and adults and we have over 400 e-audiobooks available for loan to our secondary students.
Primary students are invited to join Mrs McKellar and participate in the ‘Holiday Reads Book Tasting’ at the Year 3-6 Book Club on Thursday 19 September. There are so many fantastic ‘options’ on offer to taste – it’s going to be hard to choose!
All the best for the end of Term 3 and we hope you have a relaxing holiday with lots of time to enjoy a great read!
See you in the library.
