Unfortunately, the persistent wet weather this term led to the cancellation of the district cross-country carnival. Although it was later rescheduled, the new date clashed with our own athletics carnival. As a result, all students who had originally indicated their intention to compete at the district carnival will still receive the sportsperson points they were due.

A small number of students chose to attend the rescheduled District Cross Country instead of participating in our Athletics Carnival. Well done to Hadley Smith, Jordana Bayliss, and Oliver Geeves for representing the college at that event. Oliver Geeves did extremely well to finish 3rd in the open boys division.

In addition, many of our students applied for exemptions in order to be considered for selection into the district team to compete at the regional cross country championships. Congratulations to Sophie Doyle (3rd), Charles Atkinson (5th), and Oliver Geeves (7th) on their outstanding performances at regionals. Sophie and Charles will now go on to represent the Sunshine Coast at the state championships later this year.
