Several students have gained great results in their chosen club sports over the past month.
Caitlin Moore qualified to swim at the 2014 McDonalds Queensland Short Course Swimming Championships and was excited to set new personal best times in the 50m backstroke event. She placed 19th overall from 33 competitors from all over the state. Caitlin swims for the Pelican Waters Club and trains regularly in Caloundra.
Angela Irving plays basketball for the Clippers Basketball Club and was recently selected in the Sunshine Coast team to compete at the Queensland Champs. She been playing for just a year and is very excited about her selection and is training hard in preparation for the event.
Holly Lubcke and Tess Hagan are members of the very successful Tibros 12 yrs netball team who won the final and became 2014 Champions. Their team was unbeaten all season so this was a fitting way to end the season.
Dominic Ruhle played an important role in his team’s victory in the finals of the 2014 Football season. Doms Under 12 Division 2 team were the only Beegees Team to contest a final. The game was very even and the team scored an excellent goal in the last ten minutes of play to claim the title and the trophy. Dom played as the goal keeper all season for his team.
