One of our Middle School students, Calani Payton, represented our College in the Rostrum Voice of Youth public speaking competition recently.
Calani crafted and delivered a speech in front of trained adjudicators about ‘A towering achievement’. She did herself proud speaking for well over five minutes on the ‘towering achievement’ fully inclusive education would be.
Calani’s passionately delivered speech featured personal reflections, thoughtful analysis, honest acknowledgement and insightful vision on her education journey both at our College and her previous schools.
Calani was selected as the reserve speaker for the regional heat as a result of her performance and, given this was her first foray into competitive public speaking, is clearly one to watch.
Well done Calani.
