The Year 6 boys Mentoring Day was a great opportunity to talk about what makes a ‘Godly Man.’ Mr Curtis, Mr Bennett [JNR and SNR], Pastor Rob and Chappy Matt lead about 50 Year 6 boys along with four Year 12 male role models from the College to Mapleton to hike the Kondalilla circuit. Throughout the day each of the adults was able to share with the boys on what a Godly man looks like to them. After completing the circuit walk the group stopped off for a very refreshing swim at the top waterhole. The Year 12 boys cooked up a great sausage sizzle for the boys to have back at the picnic area for when they returned from the day hike. Another life lesson from the day was when Mr Curtis coached the boys on how to get a rugby ball out of the top of the trees that was kicked up there and had gotten stuck. We just won’t mention the other ball that was left behind up in the trees.
