This term the 1W classroom has been transformed into an International Airport for our Investigations lessons! These lessons help students explore a topic linked to a learning area in a fun and collaborative way. In Geography, we are learning about places and their features. An airport is an exciting way for students to learn more about places and travel. 

The students have really enjoyed dressing up and packing for their trip. They must present their passport to security and decide where they are travelling to. After that, it’s time to board the plane. The pilot will safely fly to the destination. Other roles the students can do include preparing in-flight meals, managing the traffic at ground control and scanning luggage to check for any prohibited items. 

It has been a wonderful term of hands-on learning in 1W.
