The Agricultural Generation!
Glasshouse Christian College’s Agricultural Science program is bursting with eager students keen to be the generation to lead the agricultural industry into a new and innovative future. It is set to be an exciting learning journey for 2015, with students gaining knowledge and experience with cutting edge technology in plant and animal genetics and plant biotechnology. The students will also be completing a certificate course in Agriculture, Economics and Nature, provided by the University of Western Australia to give them a leading edge in their agricultural endeavours.
The first day of Agricultural Science saw the students get their hands dirty, their minds full of possibilities and their ambitions for the future ignited. Year 11 student Emmerson West, indicated his eagerness to learn about aquaculture systems, with a passion to study marine wildlife sustainability in the future. Whilst a number of students, like Coen Oosen and Thomas Chapman just stated that they “Love all thing Ag!”. With such enthusiasm, it is destined to be a great year!
