The Aggies had a fantastic time attending this year’s Maleny Show, proudly showcasing their skills, produce and passion for agriculture, while being part of such an important local community event.
Throughout the day, students delivered two engaging presentations. The first demonstrated how to build bee hives and extract honey, followed by creating a delicious honey and fingerlime sorbet using their freshly harvested honey. The second presentation focused on no-dig gardening, with students showcasing how to build a lasagna layering garden bed—highlighting practical and sustainable gardening techniques.
The Aggies also entered their produce into the show and achieved excellent results across multiple categories. A special congratulations goes to two students whose own grown lettuce earned Reserve Champion – an incredible achievement.
It was a wonderful opportunity for the Aggies to support the Maleny Show, connect with the local community and celebrate agriculture, sustainability and student learning together.
